Since I would like to use Reconstructor in the Bubuntu Distro, i am currently heavily involved in this project, to make it clean and provide a command line interface. Thanks to Evan and John for the currently going on API design.

Hack the LaFonera

Hello, today I found some pretty good links, on howto hack the LaFonera. First of all, I have had to reset the router, since it had the firmware 0.7.1r2 on, and only the r1 version is hackable. Therefor, I followed the description on this site. Now I have had a quite old version on my la fonera. Then I followed BingoBommels hack. now it works like a charm. Thanks 🙂
Remaster Ubuntu → Make B-Ubuntu

Search and Replace in Multiple Files

Today I learned how to search and replace in multiple files. It is pretty easy. You can lookup how it works on the page for Debian Administrators. Basically you have to use a perl single line command like: perl -pi -e 's/about news\.$/about selling advertising space\./' file* This will edit each file directly on its place and will search for the string about news. and will replace it with ab...
